Mortice Locks

Widely used in residential buildings, mortice locks are increasingly popular in commercial applications. The two main parts of a mortice lock are: the lock body, which usual operates with levers and is fitting in a recess – the mortice – within the door; and a box keep, which is fitted in the door frame and receives the latch and lock. Mortice locks are usually the strongest and most durable lock type.

At Jewson we have mortice locks to suit any use. We offer them with three-lever, four-lever and five-lever mechanisms, plus cylinder operation. The range includes deadlocks and sashlocks, nightlatches and dedicated horizontal locks, and there are locks with extended warranties and conforming to the demands of British Standards. A wide selection of sizes and locks designed for use in doors of all materials means Jewson can always supply the right lock for your job.

And with materials including brass, stainless steel, satin chrome and nickel plating, there’s always one that looks just right too…
